This is a permanent position at St Mary’s Catholic Academy for 25 hours Level 4 (Actual salary £11,137 – £12,086)

St Mary’s is part of the Newman Catholic Collegiate. The Directors are seeking to appoint a hardworking and committed Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team. St Mary’s and its partner school, Our Lady of Grace are both rated outstanding by Ofsted and we are looking for a practitioner to complement our outstanding team

We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant who:

Teaching Assistant (additional needs working 1:1) required as soon as possible

This is a permanent position at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy for 32.5 hours Level 4 (Actual salary £14,478 – £15,712)

Our Lady of Grace is part of the Newman Catholic Collegiate. The Directors are seeking to appoint a hardworking and committed Teaching Assistant (additional needs) to join our enthusiastic team. Our Lady of Grace and its partner school, St. Mary’s Catholic Academy are both rated outstanding by Ofsted and we are looking for a practitioner to complement our outstanding team.

We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant (additional needs) who will:

  • Support one child, sometimes within small groups, making the adjustments on a day to day basis to ensure access to a differentiated and highly personalise curriculum.
  • Be proactive and flexible in supporting the child’s needs
  • Work closely with the SENCO and external agencies to deliver a personalised programme of support to meet targets
  • Support and maintain positive links between home and school by making parents feel welcome
  • Work collaboratively with several external agencies to draw upon skills, knowledge and recommendation to help best support the child
  • Have NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or recognised equivalent qualification)
  • It would be beneficial if the post holder has had appropriate training or relevant experience in using a range of language, communication and interaction techniques.

The successful applicant will be required to work Monday – Friday to meet the requirements set out in the pupils Education Health Care Plan.

Cleaner required from 11th November or as soon as possible if not from that date

This is a permanent position based at St Wilfrid’s Catholic Academy for 10 hours (£9.25 – £9.43 per hour), term time plus one week during half term to be mutually agreed.

St Wilfrid’s is part of the Newman Catholic Collegiate. The Governors are seeking to appoint a hardworking and committed Cleaner to join our enthusiastic team.

We are seeking to appoint a cleaner who will:

  • be committed to delivering high standards of cleanliness within the school building
  • be flexible
  • have good communication skills
  • be willing to undertake training
  • maintain professionalism at all times
  • be responsible for cleaning designated areas, individually and as part of a team
  • ensure that the school is kept in a clean and hygienic condition
  • Perform tasks including;
  • Mopping
  • Sweeping
  • Vacuuming
  • Buffing
  • Polishing and Dusting
  • Emptying of litter bins

The successful applicant will be required to work 3.15pm – 5.15pm Monday – Friday with some deep cleaning work undertaken during specified school holidays.
